"The best part of you dripped down your momma's thigh" - Jesse Custer.
Have you ever read a good book? Well most of us have, but have you ever read one where at the very end of the thing, you say "Damn, that thing did'nt tie up the lose ends like it should've".
Such is not the case with Preacher, every minor character is remembered just as they were from beginning to end...down to a T. No inconsistencies, no bothersome tie-ins to follow, just a good story. Thats what Preacher delivers.
The story begs the question what if God just left his throne in Heaven? and how a down and out Preacher, his mercenary girlfriend and an irish vampire with a drinking problem can find God and make him fess up for all the things he's done wrong with his creations.
If that did'nt sell you, I don't know what will.
The Good As stated above, the story is just so consistent. The way Garth Ennis paints the characters, so that you'll love or hate them is truly artistic. The vampire named Cassidy will have you rolling in laughter at the beginning of the story, but eventually, you'll see what a right b@stard he really is!
And thats just one of the examples of how talented the writer is. Fans of Hitman or Punisher MAX will laugh and cry at this emotional rollercoaster of a comic.
I simply can't reccomend it highly enough.
The Bad
Extremely blasphemous, lots of language and lots of dark humour. It didn't bother me but that's just a warning.
The only other thing I can say about this is that the art and language combined can be distracting but eventually, you'll learn to love it.

The Verdict!
5 out 5. I didn't even mentioned the Saint of Killers or Arseface...Yes there's a character named Arseface. Thats how awesome this comic is.
