Now not sure how to make your character? Well here are some basic guide lines and tips for making a good sound rpg character:
The Backstory:
For every new character there's always a new back-story (Bio), an origin just waiting to be written. Its up to you how you want to start off your character and in truth you can be as creative as you possibly want, there's no real limit. All there is, is you, your mind and your keyboard.
Powers:
1. Now these are slightly different, there are about 3 main levels of how you can power your character "Street leveler" where basically he's partially like Wolverine, no sonic speed or flight just average kick but hand to hand kinda person. The abilities often found in a street leveler are not to high on damage but handy when needed: Phasing, Claws, Well learned fighting skills.
2. Next there's a "House leveler" now your not superman yet but you have more strength and maybe even flight. A "House leveler" is someone who has a more vast amount of powers like electrical manipulation, certain element control ect. Basically he can cause damage with out touching the thing he wants destroyed he has outward powers that don';t necessary involve him punching through walls, but if he wanted to he could.
3. Finally you have "Block Leveler" your character is either Superman or his cousin. Your abilities which ever they may be are well developed and power, obviously you'll be more powerful in some areas than others. (Its always good to make your character never perfect) As a"Block leveler" your abilities are greater in power and much more effective in damaging things.
Okay now there are your basic overview of power levels. Now on here one of the main things that will happen is that your character will evolve he might start out strong and you want to weaken him out or he might start out average and you make him more powerful, or if you want you can keep him the same its up to you. Now get one thing straight just because your character is a "Street Leveler" does not mean he's weak and can be beat with in a second if going up against a "Block Leveler" It just means his skills, abilities and strength are found in different places than others. For example if might be that a "Street Leveler" has a much better knowledge and training in hand to hand combat and tactics than his more powerful opponent, there's a situation where you can use your strength against his weaknesses, but that's just an example to show you that no matter what level your character is he can still kick butt. In the end its up to how you want your character to be.
Godmodding
Now before we move on let me address something that you should know. Now we as a site won't tolerate like I said a "Perfect" character. Someone who's invincible, all powerful and just can't be hurt and can only destroy. If you look in he comics you don't see any of that each villain always has a weakness no matter how powerful they seem. Same here, there are limits to how powerful you can make your character remember he can't be god. So if you choose to make a "Block Leveler" be careful you don't make that mistake.
Weaknesses
Okay now this ties into what I Was saying above. Your character can't be perfect obviously so he'll have weaknesses. Now you might think what's the point in having a weakness it just makes it simpler to take you down , but your wrong. A weakness if mastered right is your greatest weapon. If you look most of us will have powers but and obvious accompaniment of powers is at least one weakness remember your not god. It's always good to have some weaknesses applied to your character for example my character is average "Street Leveler" she's good in combat and differ ant hand to hand skills. Her weaknesses are obviously Normal human weaknesses which are sickness, lack of blood, getting blown up ect but the short version is "Normal Human weakness's". Remember its always great to make a character and you have so many Ideas and things you want I'm sure but just make sure he's not too powerful by throwing in one or two weaknesses.
Personality.
Now this depends on how you want your character but it's always good to have a set personality even if its "Insanity" its just good to elaborate a bit more on how your characters personality is, I mean especially if someone is interacting with you so they'll know how their characters might get along. Now here you can make your character as insane or as sane as you possibly want its like your bio, you may be as creative as possible.
Picture
Now this is not necessary but it is always nice to have a face for the figure. In the bio section after filling out the right info to add a picture that you think best suits your character.
Alright hope those little tips helped you, if you have any question on your character/ any questions on "Will this power make my character a street lever ect" or what power is best associated with the differ ant levels of levelers just ask and we'll answer it for you!!
